Maya Macey Foundation scholarships are awarded to a select group of students who have shown the courage and determination
to conquer incredibly difficult challenges in their lives and continued to pursue their dreams. Each year, high school students in
South Florida submit essays detailing some of the hardships they have faced in their lives and how they have overcome those
challenges.

The Maya Macey Foundation is looking for students who excel in the classroom but, just as importantly, excel in life.

The Scholarship Committee interviews the finalists and asks a variety of questions to determine which students are deserving of a
Maya Macey Foundation scholarship. All scholarship monies are used for educational purposes.
